Guard Against Dwindling Fires … Revival

Guard Against Dwindling Fires

Target Date Summer 2016

Conference Goals

  1. Focus the church on kingdom business.
  2. Stir up that gift which God placed within you.
  3. Teach Christians how to duplicate themselves.
  4. Create a culture of discipleship in your community
  5. Take our individual parts in the Great Commission

Where do we go from here? Perhaps today, start letting God change us?

“the power of God came mightily upon us. Many cried out in complete joy. Others were knocked to the ground. As soon as we recovered a little from that awe and amazement at God’s presence, we broke out in praise.”  ― John Wesley, Holy Spirit and Power

I remind you to fan into flame the gift of God. Until we meet, greetings and blessings to the church that meets at your house.

PGN MISSION & VISION

VISION Pure Gospel Network Inc. is an inter-generational Christ centered not for profit Internet Mission Church. A network of believers from many different backgrounds who are passionate about reaching out to others. That’s why we call it, Your voice in the wilderness!

MISSION The ministry of PGN is focused on developing and encouraging Christian leaders in the faith. It’s not about building a brick and mortar ministry organization but to promote personal and ministry growth within each of our members. The result of which is effective Christian outreach to the world.

ABOUT Pure Gospel Network does not have a brick or mortar building. It is made up of “ministry partners” from different churches, denominations and cities. We operate much like the Early Church in that we combine our resources for the purpose of spreading the Gospel and creating a culture of discipleship. We are celebrating 20 years of an online presence, one of the first “Cyber Churches” that started as an Evangelistic outreach and remains true to our calling today. There is a river whose streams make glad the city of God, the holy habitation of the Most High. Psalm 46:4 (ESV) “We are but one of those streams.

Follow Christ not Consumerism

Romans 1:16 King James Version (KJV)16 For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek.

If you are faith based or call yourself a church, EVERYTHING you do should point towards the gospel of Jesus Christ.

Follow Christ not Consumerism
• Christ sacrifices, consumers hoard.
• Christ forgives, consumers hate.
• Christ gives, consumers take.
• Christ serves, consumers obtain.
• Christ is eternal, consumers are temporal.
• Christ paid for it, consumers work for it.
• Christ encourages, consumers complain.
• Christ empowers, consumers criticize.
• Christ loves people, consumers love things.

A church culture of consumerism drives us towards an inward secluded and selfish lifestyle resulting in transient church goers not committing to any one place. Perhaps that’s why church attendance is dwindling?

My Bible says not to be conformed to this world but to be transformed by the Word of God. We are here to shine the light of the Gospel into a dark place. Pull those who are lost in darkness into His glorious light.

My recommendations are:
• Stop and re-evaluate.
• Stop copying other people.
• Understand your weaknesses.
• Look deep into your motivations.

• Start following Jesus
• Start copying Jesus
• Rely on His strength
• Ask His Spirit to guide you.

You will know I speak the truth when you drive down that long suburb road with several flavor of churches along the way. On one end a gas station and the other a Cosco wholesale store on the other. A sign of the times.

Start a Bible study, Disciple someone starting today. The Word of God and your testimony changes us.

Here is my testimony:
In my distress I called upon the Lord; to my God I cried for help. From his temple he heard my voice, and my cry to him reached his ears.
I call upon the Lord, who is worthy to be praised, and I was saved from my enemies.

He bowed the heavens and came down and saved me, and if you ask He will help you too. ?

Merry Christmas

We would encourage you to take a moment out of your busy busy day. Go to your local church’s Christmas Eve Service. Then just relax and reflect. Not on what you have to do in the next few days but what Christmas means to you. It will help you get through the end of this year and into the next.

Until then . . .

May the Lord bless you and keep you.
May His Spirit fill your Christmas with peace, joy and love.
We wish you all a Merry Christmas
and a Happy New Year.

Worship in the Wilderness

Worship in the Wilderness

The trip to Ash-Ka-Nam and joining in the music allowed everyone the chance to make a pilgrimage with a purpose and focus on the one thing of first importance. The Majesty of, and your relationship with God.

Reports from the hillside was thanks for the beautiful music as it made it’s way far through the rocks and trees.  Worship in the wilderness is a yearly happening. The musicians are always spot on and it is usually two or three hours of steady music filled with words of encouragement and praise. Last year the weather held off until the ending when pouring down rain came while singing “let it rain” (a 30 minute long version with crashing symbols rolling thunder and real rain effects).

Thanks to the the Ash-Ka-Nam resort, the musicians, setup help, Robin who fed us, the churches that support us and those who were blessed by our music. This would not be possible without you. We are looking forward to this year. Below is a photo of the gazebo taken just before we setup. This is the spot from which the musicians played. The river is on the back side.

Come as you are. Everyone is welcome. A time of reflection and refreshing in the beauty of the wilderness. Musicians needed, contact Dave 218.269.6129 for more info.

This fifth annual gathering is being held at the Ash Ka Nam Resort in and around the gazebo next to the river. Bring the family, sunscreen, a picnic and bag chairs. Musicians will be setting up at noon.

For those of you who would like to spend the night, there are some cabins and hotel rooms for rent as well as campgrounds in the immediate area, including the DNR campground.

The music will start at 1:00 pm
Coming in August, Check back for exact date.

Take time to journey, participate in the music and feed your thirsty soul. The joy is in the process, when it comes to God, not the event.  -Rev.Kev   Psalm 143

I remember the days of old;
    I meditate on all that you have done;
I ponder the work of your hands.
I stretch out my hands to you;
my soul thirsts for you like a parched land.

You don’t have to climb a mountain

You don’t have to climb a mountain before you pray or approach God. If you draw close to Jesus in prayer, He will draw you up closer to Him. Feel the power in prayer which is a conversation between you and God. Jesus said come as you are. Oh yes, if you do not know what to say ask His Spirit for direction. Then listen, you will be amazed with the results!

THE DISCIPLE’S PATH IS PROGRESSIVE.

We are going somewhere—to maturity. This is not aimless wandering. These studies build on each other progressively.

THE DISCIPLE’S PATH IS DISCIPLINED.

What happens between meetings is more important than what happens during them. We are to teach those we’re discipling “to observe,” that is “to do” what is commanded. The greatest growth takes place when a disciple does what is commanded in Scripture, not just learns what Scripture says. That is why the end of each session in the Disciples Path series has a set of expectations that the growing disciple agrees to accomplish between meetings. At the outset of the following meeting, there is time for processing what has been experienced.

THE DISCIPLE’S PATH IS RELATIONAL.

For a person to become a mature disciple, he or she must journey alongside the person discipling them. As this journey toward spiritual maturity is experienced, the disciple sees the lifestyle and practices of this disciple-maker, asks important questions of that person, and is taught specific skills, truths, and principles that will be exercised for the lifetime of the disciple.

THE DISCIPLE’S PATH IS REPLICABLE.

Paul had in his mind that a disciple-maker disciples someone who disciples someone who disciples someone. It’s an ongoing process. The Disciples Path series was created with this principle in mind. The goal of every disciple-maker should be that the person who has been discipled then uses the series to disciple someone else. By using the same resources, even the first-time disciple-maker will be comfortable taking on this important but sometimes intimidating role.

Exporting The Good News & Importing Disciples

The Highest Praise is to Echo the Heart of God. PGN responded to the call and today we are literally reaching the ends of the earth streaming the Good News. Listen in at TuneIn.com  or on our web site Listen Now

Our theme for 2018 will be “Let God Arise”

One of PGN’s outreaches is streaming prayers, worship and preaching around the world 24×7. We either stream Live on Location or record and rebroadcast using easy to access crystal clear audio.

Early on in one of our sessions the Holy Spirit spoke to us saying; “The Highest Praise is to Echo the Heart of God” and then “There is a river whose streams [different ministries] shall make glad the city of God”

Est. 1998. PGN responded to the call and today we are blessing other ministries with our giftings and talents and through technology are literally reaching the ends of the earth exporting the Good News.

Combining spiritual streams into digital streams over the internet to thousands of documented listeners around the world.

Together we shall make glad the city of God by exporting The Good News & Importing Disciples into the Kingdom of God.
