There is a river whose streams make glad the city of God

The streets of the internet, the last wilderness, has been filled with webcasts from many churches filling the digital world with God’s peace and Grace. This is Good News! Psalm 46 describes how this Peace can be a refuge to the Church in these times of tumult and disturbances around the world. Anyone with a computer, tablet or smartphone or TV is exposed to constant negative reports. I can not withstand 10 minutes watching the news reports of constant pending doom and destruction with no hope or direction without having a feeling of depression and anxiety come over me. The church has to step in and spread the Good News in the medium (new media) of today.

Whose report will you believe? God’s report says we are healed, filled and set free. Let God be true and every man a liar. Whose report shall you believe? I shall believe the report of the Lord. Luke 10:17-19. Together we can give hope to a world, nation or individual in need.

Psalm 46 Best describes internet webcasting or streaming today.

God is our refuge and strength,

Therefore we will not fear though the earth gives way,
though the mountains be moved into the heart of the sea,
though its waters roar and foam,
though the mountains tremble at its swelling. Selah (think about that)

4 There is a river whose streams make glad the city of God,
the holy habitation of the Most High.

There is a river, the streams of which shall make glad the city of God. In contrast we have every nation in tumult and disturbance around the world, which the Psalmist points out in verses 2 & 3 that shows us, resting in perfect peace and tranquility, “the city of God,” in verse 4. Threatened indeed by the nations but undismayed and calmly trusting in the protection of the God who is “in the midst of the Church.”

To this city God calls a “river of streams that make the Church glad.” imagery in which we may recognize the depth and unending fountain of God’s grace that “pure river of the water of life” welling forth from the throne of God and of the Lamb continually refreshing and gladdens the Church of our Lord as revealed in Revelation 22.

Matthew 6:25-34 LIVE STREAM Do Not Worry “Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or drink; or about your body, what you will wear. Is not life more than food, and the body more than clothes? Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they? Can any one of you by worrying add a single hour to your life? …
